Building Selection Criteria

Application Reconsideration for all denials other than criminal -An applicant requesting reconsideration of a disqualified application shall submit new information or documentation contesting the disqualification to Candlestick Heights within 3 business days from the date of the disqualification letter and we will work with the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development to respond by the end of a 7 business day period from the date of the disqualification letter. In the case of such request, and when such a unit is available, Candlestick Heights will maintain one appropriately sized BMR Unit for the disqualified Household for seven (7) business days from the date of the issuance of a disqualification letter but need not hold the applicant’s preferred BMR Unit.

There is a $42 Credit/processing fee due after the lottery is held and at time of onsite interview/document submission, payable by cashier’s check or money order only.  Once the credit check is initiated the $42 fee is non-refundable.  If household is determined by management to not be income qualified after review of all income related documentation and the household is found to be ineligible, the money order or cashier’s check will be returned to the applicant.

Application deadline
Friday – July 25, 2014 by 5pm
Applications will be accepted beginning June 27th - July 25th at the address listed below. Applicants are encouraged to apply as early as possible.

Applications must be received in paper form by the rental manager (no faxes or emailed copies) by 5 pm on the date of the deadline. Postmarks will not be accepted.

Procedures Manual
All BMR renters must review and acknowledge the Inclusionary Affordable Housing Program Monitoring and Procedures Manual 2013that governs this property upon the signing of a lease for a BMR unit.
Special Note(s)
It is also important to note that units governed by the Inclusionary Housing Program are NOT governed by the San Francisco Rent Ordinance (also known as “rent control”). Among other rules, rents may increase beyond increases allowed under “rent control.”  Please see the Inclusionary Affordable Housing Program Monitoring and Procedures Manual 2013 for more information.
